The companies, in their defense, argue that they must consider the financial implications of filing another rate case versus accepting the PSC's offer. However, Williams and the customers are not convinced.
One of the main concerns is the lack of adequate notice. Williams emphasizes that customers should be informed well in advance of any rate changes, typically through bill inserts 30 days before the implementation. Yet, this crucial step seems to have been overlooked. The division has received around 500 letters of protest, indicating widespread dissatisfaction among customers.
