Brentford's FA Cup journey continues! The Bees soared past Sheffield Wednesday, a Championship team struggling both on and off the field, securing their spot in the FA Cup fourth round.
Brentford, currently enjoying a stellar season, made several strategic changes to their lineup, resting key players like the in-form striker Igor Thiago. This victory comes after their impressive 3-0 win against Sunderland, which propelled them to fifth place in the Premier League.
Keane Lewis-Potter, stepping in for Thiago, wasted no time making his mark. He capitalized on a free-kick from Mathias Jensen, tapping in the opening goal in the 27th minute. Before that, Lewis-Potter had already rattled the crossbar with a header, hinting at Brentford's dominance.

Despite their financial troubles and a minus seven-point deduction, Sheffield Wednesday fought hard. However, Brentford sealed the deal in the 64th minute. Jensen converted a penalty after Donovan was fouled by Cole McGhee, also 19 years old, putting any doubts about the outcome to rest.
