In an exciting development for space enthusiasts and industry advocates, Singapore has officially announced the selection of Anak, a prominent global branding agency, to spearhead the brand strategy and launch campaign for its upcoming National Space Agency (NSAS). This announcement was made during the inaugural Singapore Space Summit in 2026, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s journey towards expanding its presence in the realm of space exploration.
Set to commence operations on April 1, 2026, NSAS will operate as an independent entity under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. It aims to build on the foundational work laid by the Office for Space Technology and Industry (OSTIn), thereby advancing Singapore’s aspirations in the space sector.
Hanyi Lee, a creative partner at Anak, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership, stating, "Anak has had the privilege of helping shape many Singapore-grown brands, including Singapore’s very own national brand, and this collaboration with NSAS feels like a natural continuation of that journey. We are thrilled to work with NSAS in defining and articulating the story of Singapore’s space efforts and ambitions, and to build understanding, pride, and imagination around what Singapore is reaching for in space, and why it matters to all of us."
As the designated brand and creative partner for NSAS, Anak's responsibilities encompass comprehensive brand discovery, strategic planning, development of visual identity, and overseeing the creative direction for the launch campaign of the new NSAS brand. This exciting initiative not only represents a leap forward for Singapore in the global space arena but also emphasizes the importance of public engagement in fostering a deeper understanding of space exploration and its significance.
